Meet Scott Sheperd
Scott Sheperd PhD has over
thirty years experience working with people in difficult situations ranging from high pressure jobs
to life threatening illnesses to coping with the death of a loved one.
A
published author, he has had six books published including
Choosing the Gift - Dealing With The Loss of a Loved One and
I Will Live Today, a book for the
seriously ill or injured.
Scott also did a six part series for Public Television called “Who’s
In Charge?” Two of the six parts focused on coping with serious illness and coping with loss.
Scott travels around the country focusing on issues such as stress and self-esteem and personal
empowerment. He has spoken to a variety of bereavement groups including Survivors of Suicide,
Parents of Murdered Children as well as more traditional loss support groups. He has also spoken
to many illness related support groups.
Scott is a musician and has had a musical produced on stage.
Scott has a B.A. in Music, a Master’s Degree in Mass Communication, and a Masters and Ph.D. in
Counseling.
